COMPANY BACKGROUND

 

 

We aim to provide a low cost and professional computer repair and maintenance service, to both business and domestic computer users. Having spent many years working in the IT industry, our technicians are fully experienced in all aspects of hardware, software and network maintenance, on a broad range of computer and operating systems.

 

Our experienced support staff will take all the relevant details and will then arrange for one of our locally based technicians to visit you at your business premises. In the unlikely event that our technicians is unable to repair the computer, our No-Fix-No-Fee policy (conditions apply) means that there will be nothing to pay at all.

 

We aim to provide a same day callout service, and providing your call is received before 1pm, our goal will be to have an technicians with you before 5pm on the same day.

 

Our work is fully guaranteed and any replacement components required are supplied new and covered by a full one-year manufacturer’s warranty. You can be totally assured that all work carried out by Maxit technicians is done to the highest possible standards of workmanship.

SERVICES AVAILABLE

 

We aim to provide a comprehensive range of computer repair and maintenance services. Some examples of the services we offer are shown below: -

 

·        The computer will not boot, freezes or crashes whilst in use.

·        Component failures – hard drive, floppy drive, CD-Rom, power supply, modem, memory, sound or graphics card, motherboard or processor.

·        Upgrades – we can upgrade your current IT equipment or build new bespoke systems to your own specification.

·        Virus removal and advice on anti-virus software and effective firewall procedures.

·        Internet connection – configuring the connection, troubleshooting connection problems, setting up e-mail accounts or installing a modem or broadband equipment.

·        Networks, both server and peer-to-peer – installation, configuration and maintenance.

·        Software – installation and troubleshooting software conflicts and/or error conditions.

·        Training – we can provide training in the use of most mainstream software packages.

·        Laptop repairs (software only).

·        Printer repairs (software only).

 

If a component failure is diagnosed, our engineer will be able to advise you of the replacement required and provide a quotation for the cost of the component. If you are happy to proceed on that basis, he will obtain the necessary component and make convenient arrangements with you to return and complete the repair. The technicians

will also carry some common components with him. Written quotations are available on request and will always be issued where the cost of a component exceeds R100.00.

 

 

 

 

 

CHARGING STRUCTURES

 

Hourly Rate

 

We charge on an hourly basis at the rate of R300 plus VAT for the initial hour and R150 plus VAT for each subsequent period of 30 minutes. Our minimum charging period is one hour. Our No-Fix-No-Fee policy (conditions apply) means that if our engineer is unable to repair the computer, there will be nothing to pay at all.

 

Prepaid Support Hours

 

We also offer the facility to purchase Prepaid Support Hours. These hours are completely flexible, have no expiry date and give your business priority when booking an technician visit.

 

Prepaid Support Hours are available in blocks of 5, 10 or 20 hours (labour only, parts not included) and offer substantial discounts from our standard hourly rate.

 

            Prepaid – Option One              5 Prepaid Support Hours                      R1500.00  plus VAT

                                                            (R 300 per hour plus VAT)

 

Prepaid – Option Two              10 Prepaid Support Hours                    R2800.00  plus VAT

(R 280 per hour plus VAT)

           

Prepaid – Option Three            20 Prepaid Support Hours                    R5000.00 plus VAT

(R250.00 per hour plus VAT)

 

Our prepaid support option is similar to a traditional maintenance contract, but at a fraction of the cost, and with all the flexibility expected by today’s modern business models.

FAQ

 

Is your work guaranteed?

Our work is fully guaranteed. All components are supplied new and are covered by a full twelve months parts and labour warranty.

Can I limit the booking to one hours' work?

Yes, you can choose to limit the booking to one hour and the
technician will do his very best to complete the work within the agreed timescale.

If the repair takes only forty minutes, will I have to pay for a full hour?

Our minimum charging period is one hour. If the repair is completed in less time than this, the engineer will offer to stay for the remaining time to carry out a general PC health check or a virus scan. Following the initial hour, any additional time is charged in blocks of 30 minutes.

Do you repair laptops?

We carry out software related repairs to laptops, however, we do not repair laptop hardware failures. For laptop hardware failures, we recommend you to contact the manufacturer of your machine.

Do you repair printers?

We carry out software related repairs to printers - driver and/or installation problems, however, we do not repair printer hardware failures.

Do you repair monitors?

Unfortunately, we do not carry out repairs to monitors.

Which methods of payment do you accept?

We only accept payment in cash.
